Right after pigs are born they do not have suffieciently developed thermoregulation system. Therefore, hoggery needs to be equipped with source of warmth. Temperature of around 35°C needs to be provided and to achieve it we can employ direct source of warmth: gas radiant heaters. Heating pigs reduces their mortality, increases their immunity and lowers stress. Infrared improve metabolism and work of digestive system. In cold hoggery demand for food , conditioners and supplements increases. Infrared allows to reduce amount of used rise pasturage; conditioners are used for increasing mass and lowering fat quantity. Ensuring comfortable temperature positively influences health indepedently of livestock age. it is recommended to heat piglets until they are 4 weeks old. Using gas radiant heaters makes feaces dry faster, what facilitates cleaning. Application all year long, not only during autumn and winter.
As a result pig’s are cleaner and their growth is faster and more uniform.
